Set the IP Address

The SWAMP-24X8 can use TCP/IP for communication between a control system

and a SWAMP-24X8. The IP address can be manually set or obtained from a DHCP

server. For information on enabling DHCP to obtain an IP address, refer to

“Enable/Disable DHCP” on page 37. To view or manually set an IP address:

Enter the “Network Setup” menu as described above.

Press the T or ▲ buttons to display IP Address and press ENTER. The IP

address is displayed.

Press the T or ▲ buttons to set the first octet of the IP address.

Press the soft key under the next octet (or press ENTER to move to the next

octet) to select it for editing.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each octet.

To save the IP address and return to the “Network Setup” menu, move the

cursor to the right-most octet and press ENTER. To cancel the operation

and return to the previous screen, press MENU.

Set the Subnet Mask

The subnet mask can be manually set or obtained from a DHCP server. For

information on enabling DHCP to obtain a subnet mask, refer to “Enable/Disable

DHCP” which starts on page 37. To view or manually set the subnet mask:

Enter the “Network Setup” menu as described above.

Press the T or ▲ buttons to display Subnet Mask and press ENTER. The

subnet mask is displayed.

Press the T or ▲ buttons to set the first octet of the subnet mask.

Press the soft key under the next octet (or press ENTER to move to the next

octet) to select it for editing.

Set the Default Router

The default router can be manually set or obtained from a DHCP server. For

information on enabling DHCP to obtain a default router, refer to “Enable/Disable

DHCP” which starts below. To view or manually set the default router:

Enter the “Network Setup” menu as described on page 35.

Press the T or ▲ buttons to display Default Router and press ENTER. The

default router is displayed.
