Features and Functions
1 The Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS), a North American standard and Radio Data System
(RDS), a European standard, permit broadcasters to use a sub-carrier frequency to transmit inaudible
digital data along with their regular FM programming to receivers equipped to process the data. Refer
to “Appendix: RBDS/RDS Function Support” on page 17 for more information.
